Kubota® liquid-cooled diesel, 4-cylinder, 49 gross hp (37 kW) @ 2,800 RPM, governed to 2,300 RPM. 134 cu. in. (2,197 cm3) displacement. Pressurized lubrication system with 8.1 U.S. qt. (7.6 liter) capacity. Heavy duty three phase air cleaner. Replaceable spin-on fuel filter/water separator with water in fuel sensor and warning.

Rear air intake with full-flow hydraulic oil cooler and agricultural type radiator with 3.7 gallons (14 liter) system capacity with 7-row staggered tube construction. Two speed fan.

Replaceable spin-on fuel filter/water separator has built-in water sensor and console warning.
Fuel capacity: 17 gallons (65 liter) diesel fuel.

Front tires: (2) 31 x 13.50-15, 4-ply high flotation. Rear tires: (2) 23 x 10.50-12, 6-ply, high flotation turf tires.

Hand operated twin disc brakes ahead of gear reductions provide positive parking and emergency braking. Dynamic braking through closed-loop hydrostatic drive.

Automotive type full power steering.

Forward speed of 0-12 mph (19.2 km/h) in 2WD, and 0-8.5 mph (13.7 km/h) in 4WD. Reverse speed of 0-4 mph (0-6.4 km/h).

2WD: Closed-loop hydrostatic system driving industrial double planetary gear reduction front wheel drives.
4WD: Closed-loop hydrostatic system driving industrial double planetary gear reduction front wheel drives in parallel with two high torque hydraulic rear wheel motors. Solenoid-operated selector valve.

Foot operated: forward/reverse traction pedal and front cutting unit latch release. Adjustable traction pedal stop.
Hand operated: key ignition switch, throttle, reel speed control, cutting unit raise/lower controls, cutting unit pto lever, parking brake lever. Hydraulic cutting unit counterbalancing control under control panel. 2WD/4WD selector switch on 4WD model only.

Guages and Diagnostics

Gauges: Fuel level and hour meter. Warning systems with light and alarm: low hydraulic oil level, hydraulic filter change required, low voltage indicator, high reservoir oil temperature, low engine oil pressure, water in the fuel, high engine temperature (override button allows unit to be moved short distances), and air cleaner restriction. Engine shutdown protection provided for low hydraulic oil level and high engine temperature (with over-ride button).

Two piece deluxe seat with armrests, adjustable backrest angle and suspension adjustable for operator’s weight.

This product complies with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI B71-4 – 1999) and European Community specifications (CE Certified). 4-post ROPS meets OSHA and SAE certification requirements, standard on 4WD, available on 2WD models.

Five 30" (76 cm) wide hydraulically driven cutting units. Heavy duty welded steel cutting unit frame with 8" (20.3 cm) diameter welded steel reels in self aligning bearings. Reel adjusted to bedknife with precision screw adjustment on ends of reel.

Welded steel frame, welded reel with heavy duty, self aligning bearings. Precision machined cast iron bearing housings support reel. Bedbar and rear roller are isolation-mounted in rubber bushings. Adjustable deflector shields standard.

Patented cutting unit head using heavy duty U-joint provides precision mounting; choice of 1-axis or 2-axis cutting unit flotation. The fixed head, 1-axis flotation is suitable where ground contours are minimal. High strength forged alloy steel pivot with sealed needle bearings for all direction free flotation. Equal length lift arms act uniformly on all five cutting units. Counterbalance force is adjustable to match the cutting unit options installed and local conditions. Plated lift arm pivot and cylinder pins.

Bedknife/ Bedbar

Replaceable single edged high carbon alloy steel bedknife mounted to the bedbar with screws.
Precision machined bedknife and bedbar.

Reel to Bedknife Adjustment

Reel is adjusted to bedknife with precision screw-type adjusters. Stainless steel and sintered bronze components.

3.5" (9 cm) diameter, heavy duty rear roller with bearings and seals. Roller bearings are greased through protected fittings on shaft ends. Steel roller has greaseable tapered roller bearings with double lip seal. Zinc plate shaft for long, trouble-free service in corrosive/high moisture environments. Optional Wiehle or full front rollers for floating cutting units. Side Skid Kit available for fixed position cutting units.

Height of Cut adjustment

Heavy duty casting supports on either end of roller are adjustable for different HOC ranges. Supports locked in place on stainless steel shaft with two self centering steel nuts.
