The Tomlin range of Transport Chain Harrow has been designed and robustly manufactured for use with medium and large horsepower tractors. The harrow is ideal for use by local authorities, contractors and farmers who have difficulty in moving harrows from site to site, whether in a busy town or down a narrow country lane. When the harrow is in its transport position its maximum width is only 2.OOm. The harrow is manufactured from good quality steel and maintenance is minimal.

The Light Arable model is a one-sided section suitable for seedbed preparation, artificial horse surfaces and general work with compact tractors.

The Heavy Grassland model is a one-sided section suitable for general grassland work.

The Heavy Sportsfield model is a two-sided section suitable for work on sports fields, golf courses, etc.

The harrow can be operated on the tractor's three-point-linkage or drawbar/pick-up hitch, but the best results are achieved when used on the tractor's drawbar/pick-up hitch. When the harrow is being used on the drawbar/pick-up hitch it is simply a matter of adjusting the top link on the drawbar and wheels to lower the sections ready for use. When using the harrow on a drawbar it is not necessary to have a three-point-linkage and therefore the harrow could be used behind a Landrover or similar vehicle. If the harrow is used on the three-point-linkage the drawbar has to be folded up, thus creating a three-point-linkage and then the top link on the wheels has to be adjusted to the correct depth required. The wheels can be used as depth wheels or free-floating when in this position. Everything needed to convert the roller to its relevant position is contained on the harrow and therefore no risk of losing components.

The harrow is manufactured to the highest standard. The wheels and axles are both heavy duty to give maximum life. The harrow sections are held in the frame by chains and shackles for easy removal, this being especially important when it is required to replace or turn over the section. The harrow is fitted with a lighting board as standard, complete with lights and indicators, there is also a facility to fit a registration plate. The harrow is subject to some optional extras - mud guards, spare wheel, hydraulic folding wings and hydraulic wheel control.
